The Cat Cafe is one of Singapore’s most well-known cat cafés. It first opened its doors in 2014, with a location on Bugis Street that now houses 15 cats. The cafe made its presence felt in the West this year by establishing a presence at Rail Mall.
The chain is run by two cat lovers, Candice and Jefferson, who saw the firm as a means to rescue additional homeless felines. As a result, their cats were all either strays or acquired from shelters.
Spend first hour or two with the cats for S$16 and get a complimentary soft drink. For S$16, upgrade to a cup of freshly brewed coffee, tea, or chocolate instead. The cafe also serves some delicious desserts. Every half hour after that costs S$4.
Key Differentiators:
- All cats were adopted and strays.
- They offer delectable desserts
- You may upgrade your complimentary drink to tea, chocolate or coffee
Client Testimonial:
A simple little room looking over Bugis. With an array of middle aged or older cats that are calm and gentle.
Walking up the stairs you almost enter another world where you divest your shoes and enter into the cats world.
The experience comes with a soft drink, although you can upgrade to a handmade coffee for only a small charge. I did, and it was worth the money.

Client Testimonial:
best cat cafe ever!! i could tell that the owners were passionate about taking care of the cats and they were very good hosts too. we were hesitant in approaching the cats who were sleeping, but they showed us how to play with the kitties, took some cardboard boxes out to entertain them and really livened up the atmosphere. I’ve even learnt a bit about cats being stalkers and how you should get their attention!!
the owner was charismatic and shared about the kitties, their names and personalities and we even thought he was a customer himself when we first came in because he was so comfortable chatting with customers.
overall a really great experience because unlike other cafes where you have to “compete” for the cats attention and cats are typically sleeping, the owners here will guide you on how to better spend time with them. definitely coming back soon!!

The space is know to be home to cats, but it also has weekly play sessions where you may interact with a clowder of fluffy ragdolls. It’s a fantastic method to learn more about this breed and see whether you’d want one at home. Please note that you must make a reservation before coming to the cafe.
Key Differentiators:
- Artsy interior
- Ragdoll kitten reservation
- Dedicated to ragdoll cats
Client Testimonial:
My family recently bought a kitten from Playground and she has been a real joy to us since she came to our home a month ago. We are first time cat owner and Jing and Sam have helped us with this transition superbly. We were given thorough instructions before we took the kitten home and they have both remain in contact with us on messages whenever we need any advice. Our kitten was already toilet trained when she came to us at 3 months of age so that makes it very easy for us. It just took her a couple of days to adjust to a new environment and right now, she is the queen with a very kind and gentle attitude 🙂
