Looking for a laugh? Check out the best comedians in Singapore!

These funny folks will have you rolling in the aisles with their hilarious jokes and witty observations.

Whether you’re looking for a stand-up comedian or an improviser, we’ve got you covered.

So without further ado, here are the 10 best comedians in Singapore!

1) Kumarason Chinnadurai

Kumar is a popular Singaporean Indian comedian, television presenter, and actor.

For nearly two decades, this hilarious star has worked in the entertainment sector, accumulating a slew of television, stage, and film credits.

At 22 years old, Kumar had his first exposure to the entertainment industry as a singing waiter at Cheers pub in Novotel Orchid.

2) Fakkah Fuzz

This is one of Singapore’s greatest local comedians.

He became a household name when he made it to the top 10 list of the Funniest Person in the World competitions in Helsinki, Finland.

Given that the contestants come from all across the world, this is no easy task. You may also know him from his Netflix comedy special titled But Almost Banned.

When it comes to problems, this outspoken comedian isn’t new.

Because of some wisecracks he made about the Malaysian prime minister, he got into a bit of trouble with the authorities.

However, he was not deterred; in fact, it was but a minor speed bump on his journey.

3) Rishi Budhrani

He is one-half of the comedy power couple that everyone adores seeing perform live. Rishan won the 2012 international comedy competition and is married to Channa, whom he met in Pakistan.

Rishi was the first of the two couples to perform stand-up comedy, between them. In fact, Channa has credited her husband with inspiring her to try it as well.

He has made several appearances on comedy channels, for example, Stand-up Asia.

4) Jinx Yeo

Unlike what his name implies, Jinx’s performances are not here to ruin your night. In reality, you will depart there more joyful than when you arrived.

He is also working on his comedy shows at home, if Yeo is not out traveling the globe on all of the major comedy tours, such as Melbourne International Comedy Festival, New Zealand Comedy Festival, or Sydney Comedy Season.

Given all of the tours throughout Europe he receives, it may appear that everyone wants a piece of him.

Let me tell you something: the geeky appearance isn’t deceiving; what’s more, there’s a mind brimming with belly-slapping giggles thanks to his east meets west comparisons and also hilarious sexual allusions and judgments.

5) Joycelyn Chia

Chia is a force to be reckoned with in Singapore’s comedy industry. Her decision to pursue comedy must have raised eyebrows among people since she abandoned the legal profession to go into it. Isn’t it crazy?

However, among the numerous reasons for her popularity with her fans is her tenacity and desire to achieve what she wanted.

She has appeared in several shows over the previous year or two, which she considers being the greatest chapter of her life.

6) Jack Neo

Jack Neo is a Singaporean actor who has worked on both film and television. Jack Neo wrote and acted in a comedy skit for Tanjong Katong Secondary School when he was 14 years old.

After beginning his career in the year 1980, his comedic roles on television made him more successful and renowned in Mediacorp. Neo was best known for his cross-dressing characters as Liang Xi Mei in the long-running television comedy nite show.

This great comedian set up his own company where he worked with other comedians such as Mark Lee, Henry Thia, and John Cheng. In the year 1998, he was awarded the best director for his short film and also got recognition for being a great impact on Singapore’s media industry.

7) Gurmit Singh

Gurmit is a well-known TV presenter and comedian who has appeared in several films and television programs.

He was a party to a comedy play in Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd where he won an Asian television award as the best comedy actor.

Through his job, which led to him being appointed the Singapore idol host, he significantly promoted his Malaysian culture.

8) Sharul Channa

Who doesn’t like funny females? If you enjoy watching female local comedians, you undoubtedly know of Sharul Channa.

This brilliant mind neither depends on accents or age-old stereotypes for jokes. Sharul has a way with words and can easily convert any scenario into a joke that will leave you on the floor.

She derives inspiration from general life experiences, the psyche of men, and also the idea of life and death.

She is one funny woman, getting her hands dirty is not in her DNA, she did a good job in showcasing her witty and humorous side in a recent tour she did in India.

9) Mark Lee

Mark Lee, a comedian, needs little introduction in Singapore since he has been working with the local entertainment business for almost two decades.

Lee is a comedian who gained recognition for his work with Jack Neo and Henry Thia.

He worked in films such as Money No Enough and the long-running comedy nite program. His first public appearance was made in the comedy horror film The Ghosts Must Be Crazy.

10) Hirzi Zulkiflie

Mohamad Hisham Nor is a Singaporean comedian who also has professional acting and content-making experience. He gained recognition on YouTube, where he was known as “One half of Munah Hirzi.”

Since their pull-out as a duo, Hirzi has been working on the BenZi Project with Benjamin Kheng while also performing as a comedian.

He’s labeled himself as a workaholic because he almost had a stroke for working too hard on the BenZi Project.
