Korean Fried Chicken Singapore

Korean fried chicken has been the craze in Singapore over the past few years, and it’s easy to see why. The crispy coating on top of juicy meat is a match made in heaven. The sauces used to coat the chicken also add another dimension of flavor that is difficult to resist.

Soy Garlic  & Honey: A classic combination that has been perfected with a dash of sesame seeds, and is probably the most popular sauce in Singapore for Korean fried chicken. The soy garlic sauce offers a richer taste than what you would get in Korea, but it’s still a good choice if you’re looking for something familiar.

Spicy: Perfect for those who prefer their food to be on the spicier side of things! It has a very generous amount of spicy chilli sauce that goes well with your chicken and rice. Most Korean fried chickens can handle a generous dousing of some spicy sauce.

Yogurt: Perhaps the most surprising flavor on this list, but a pleasant one at that! It has a slightly tangy taste with hints of garlic and pepper mixed in for good measure, making it an interesting alternative to those who are sick of soy or chilli sauces. This is also a good choice if you want something lighter to go with your chicken.

Curry: If you love Indian curries, Korean fried chickens are probably for you! The curry sauce is rich and fragrant, making it a wonderful accompaniment to the crispy coating on top of some juicy meat. This flavor has been growing in popularity over recent years; perhaps it’s time for you to try it out and see what the fuss is about!

Kimchi: Perhaps the most polarising flavor of all, kimchi has become increasingly popular among Singaporeans as a way to add some spice to their lives. As with any spicy dish, be sure not to overindulge or your stomach might pay the price! This flavor is probably best saved for the winter, but it’s still a pleasant way to spend summer.

Spicy Pork Ribs: If you’re looking for some meat on your bones, Korean fried chicken Singapore has got you covered with this dish. The ribs are marinated in a spicy and fragrant sauce which goes well with rice and is a good choice for anyone who’s feeling peckish.

Salt & Pepper: A classic combination that never fails to disappoint, this flavor ensures that every bite of chicken has the perfect balance between saltiness and pepperiness – which can be hard to achieve with Korean fried chickens! This is also a great option if you’re looking for something light to go with your fried chicken.

Spicy Cheese: Perfect for those who love a little bit of everything in their lives, this flavor is bound to give you the best of all worlds! It has the perfect combination between salty cheese and spicy chilli sauce that can be difficult to resist if you’re having some Korean fried chickens for dinner.

Kimchee Wild Rice: If you’re looking for something different to go with your chicken, look no further than this. The savory flavour of the wild rice goes well with any spicy sauce that you choose and is a good choice if you want to mix it up now and then.

No matter your flavor preference, Korean fried chicken is a great choice for you! But which Korean fried chicken restaurant should you go to? That’s where we come in! We’ve scoured all of Singapore and compiled a list of the best Korean fried chicken restaurants that will satisfy your cravings.

My husband wanted to try Korean chicken and we were keen to have some beers on our last night in Seoul but I am a pescatarian so needed to find somewhere that could cater to this.
It was very quiet when we went but this was nice and the staff were friendly when asked about veggie options.
When ordering the fried prawns/squid the staff checked I was ok with eating the meat of this which I thought was lovely.
The food itself was delicious and the pitcher of beer went down very well!

Even for breast meat, the chicken is extremely soft since it’s only cooked when ordered. It takes a while to arrive at your table, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Client Testimonial

Tried this Korean fried chicken stall while exploring Kovan. It offers a variety of different flavours for the chicken and my personal favourite is the yang neom and soy garlic ones. The yang neom (aka sweet spicy) has a great balance of sweetness and spice – from the gochujang while the soy garlic had the right dash of garlic taste in it.

I must say the flavours are super strong and best eaten at the coffee shop. The smell was so fragrant all the way when I was bringing it home to share with my family. Prices are reasonable too so it’s great to have this for a party or gathering!

Huluruk Myeon House’s bakery arm, Korfe Bakery, has gained attention for its injeolmi azuki mochi buns, but the main restaurant does a fantastic Korean fried chicken. Theirs range from $8.80 to $9.80 per serving, with Original, Spicy, and Soy Garlic options. The foods with sauce are a dollar more expensive at $9.80, for example. Huluruk Myeon House’s famous noodles, prepared using Halmuni Song’s proprietary method, are worth trying.

Client Testimonial

Decent Korean food at affordable prices, right in the heart of Bishan.

Ordered 2 main dishes and 1 side, amounting to $38. We got the Flower Clam noodles, which has a savoury soup and handmade noodles, similar to a Korean version of Banmian. The Beef Japchae was great, very tasty and has generous portions. Got a pork jowl on the side, while it was cooked well, the sauce was a little cold, might be because it was added after grilling.

Overall, a great find! Would return. Great for family and friends gathering.
