After a brief apprenticeship in a Dutch company, Mirandolle & Voute, Tan Tiong Hoe started Tiong Hoe & Co, a coffee business, in the 1960s. He began by knocking on doors to sell his black coffee, but as his company grew, he started supplying it to hotels, restaurants, and ship chandlers.
While it focuses mostly on selling freshly brewed coffee and coffee-making equipment, it does have a tiny space where you may relax with your cup of joe.
