Shinsora is a contemporary Japanese omakase sushi restaurant that pays homage to the Edo-era Japanese art of Edomae sushi. Shinsora serves stunning sushi bento boxes using the freshest ingredients utilizing traditional preparation processes from the Edo period. The award-winning sushi chefs Sky Tai Koon Siang and Leon Yap and their crew run the restaurant, which provides an enjoyable dining experience from the comfort of their own homes.

Customer Review

This is a new dining outlet run by 2 very talented chefs in a relax, 10-11 seater, more affordable experience ($300 below). The outdoor appearance of the restaurant may fool anyone (same management but different operations). The inside of the restaurant was entirely different and has every bit of a top notch Japanese fine dining place.

The only issue we had was the booking/reservation experience which took forever and we mentioned to the owners to have it improved.

Overall, the food presentation and knowledge of the chef was A+.

The food quality was A

The service was A+

Our favorite dishes were the Uni sandwich and the black chawanmushi.

I be back for another and another round.

This restaurant, which is inspired by the standing sushi bars in Tokyo, delivers an elevated eating experience with a comprehensive menu that includes traditional selections such as robatayaki, tempura, and sashimi. The sushi bar’s latest concept in the epidemic is its Lacquered Bento Box Experience ($129+), which is a private home dining experience with the restaurant’s best items. Diners may select from a Japanese tuna-sashimi platter with otoro, chutoro, and akami, as well as an assorted sushi course and delectable side dishes.

Customer Review

An established and popular Japanese joint focusing on sushi and sashimi dishes. Clearly the draw here is also the value for money set lunches that are available daily. Really good variety of fish on offer and freshness is really on par with its price. Certainly worth a try.

We miss the sound of meat sizzling on a community BBQ grill, too. The next time you want to hit that location, bookmark The Gyu Bar because this Japanese yakiniku restaurant does serve up a delectable platter of exquisite wagyu beef. Otherwise, select from one of their lovely bento boxes. The Wagyu Uni Chirashi Bento is a stack of wagyu, Hokkaido uni, ikura, tamago, yaki, and goma with marinated grilled marble beef cubes on top. The Truffle Wagyu Sirloin Sukiyaki Bento ($54.20) is a stunning bento that combines wagyu sirloin sukiyaki, sliced truffle, ikura, goma, and an onsen egg onto a bed of truffle rice.

Customer Review

We tried the Wagyu Omakase Set, and everything was yummy from the start to the end. Great service as well – offered me a scarf off the bat when they noticef I was cold when I entered the restaurant. Great value, great service. Must try!

RAPPU, which has rapidly become one of Singapore’s most popular eateries, especially because it claims to be “Singapore’s OG handroll bar.” When dining in is accessible, you’ll want to go down for an experience at their bar, where seafood is wrapped in warm rice and crispy seaweed and served fresh each time — with a flight of sake if desired.

Customer Review

Enjoyed my experience here. Had a bar counter seat and all the staff had really good service and were friendly throughout dinner.

Food was fabulous, good quality and worth the price. Recommend to do the sake pairing and to try the high roller.

Love the food and service here. Great quality and consistency – been here a few times now. The raw items were fresh and paired well with various condiments. The cooked items were fantastic and flavours will leave you wanting more. Drink selection is good too. Overall fantastic experience dining here and highly recommended.

“One Life, One Moment,” translated as “Ichigo Ichie,” is a high-quality Kappo restaurant that strives to provide an unforgettable dining experience. Kappo restaurants allow the chef to surprise guests with fresh Japanese cuisine since they leave the cooking entirely up to him (similar to omakase dinners). Innovative dishes prepared by Chef Akane Eno, a leading Japanese sushi chef, bring the tastes of Japan to Singapore. There are still plenty of bento boxes to delight your taste buds, despite the fact that the takeaway menu has fewer foods than its regular menu.

Customer Review

Cosy spot for kappo style omakase. Almost like private dining. Can feel a very personal touch on the dishes and ingredients chosen by the Chef Akanoe. Fresh, delicious and also surprised by unique flavour combinations with less known ingredients from the usual. Ceramic is handpicked. Dashi is a house blend. And she even had a house label sake that is delightful to drink.
