If you’re searching for something a bit more remote and away from the beaten path, head to Burren Junction Artesian Hot Springs, which is close to Kamilaroi Highway on a sealed road. The pool is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is popular among locals since the artesian water which flows from the well maintains a consistent temperature of 41.5 degrees Fahrenheit and has an excellent reputation for relieving sore muscles. If you want to make it more of a adventure – Camping facilities are also on site with poolside

Good spot to stop overnight (when it’s open). Baths were very warm, and the “staff” were friendly and helpful. Would come back next time they open.

Great place for a dip in warm soft Artesian water. Has some pipe thongs that can really hit the spot. Highly recommend if you are ever in Moree. Lots of change rooms and lots of friendly people in the pools.

One of the best wellness experience my wife and I have done! We did the whole experience (4pm-9pm) except getting their own accommodation. When you book, try to get an accommodation, lots of good ones nearby so you don’t have to drive back home that day and ruin the relaxing experience.

The water in Lightning Ridge Artesian Bore Baths is two million years old, and it comes from the Great Artesian Basin! The water is forced to the surface through an artesian bore and kept at a temperature of 40 to 50 degrees Celsius.

Truly unique experience. The Artesian Bore Baths are naturally heated to over 40 degrees! Takes a little getting used to bit once you do, it’s a uniquely invigorating experience have your body in 40 degrees water with your head being cooled by the night breezes! Recommend going at night – it’s open 24/7 and is 100% free.

The Yarrangobilly Caves Thermal Pool, located within the Kosciuszko National Park, is fed by a natural hot spring and is regarded as the area’s favorite. 700 meters from the parking lot or 3 kilometers along the river walk, you may reach the park. The thermal park is remote and tranquil, with plenty of things to find in its gorgeous environment. It’s often called the ideal destination for a crisp and crunchy winter day.

A very rewarding experience. It was close to sunset when we arrived, so we only had an hour to explore. The walk in was easy and level, with great views of the valley. The thermal pool was lovely and warm, with a few small fish swimming around. We will definitely come back for longer next time!

The Boomi hot springs’ main attraction is its hot spa pool. The water in this location comes from 1.25 kilometers below the earth’s surface and has a temperature of 39 degrees. The Boomi hot springs include an open air hot artesian pool, a cold wading pool, and a chilly swimming pool. It’s also a fantastic location to unwind, whether you’re in the soothing warm water, on the lush green lawn below the shade sails, or along the poolside deckchairs.

These baths have been bathing in the same water for more than a century now. This little spring, which is located east of the village of Pilliga along Pilliga Road and yes, bring your tent or RV, is cooler at 37°. There’s nothing quite like relaxing in this rustic thermal pool, which has a roof and lights for night swimming. Nothing beats the mineral water that this bath provides.
