Katherine and Iain Smart, the proprietors of the Pig & Pastry, have a common interest in baked goods. All of the cakes, cookies, and tarts served here are produced on-site and accompanied by homemade ice cream. As a visitor to Newtown from the States, I found this Brewtown location to be absolutely ideal. Visited on a Friday morning with two toddlers and found the staff to be incredibly kind, accommodating, and professional. The coffees were fantastic, my Cappuccino with almond was fixed brilliantly

Best donut Sydney! Seriously, I work just over the street from Two chaps so I pretty much taste every new doughnut they bring out, and I know I’ve not tried all the doughnuts in Sydney, but I’m willing to bet they are the best. The cookies are incredible, vegetarian sandwiches are scrumptious, and the coffee will bless your soul. Excellent service and team at Two Chaps!

Scott Clark and Elise Honeybrook, the founders of Grumpy Donuts, began making their own doughnuts after traveling across Canada and the United States. Sweet glossy glazes are used to decorate doughnuts in this region, which are made US-style with fluffy, light dough. There are no pre-prepared toppings at Grumpy Donuts; a great doughnut, they feel, should be more unique and require some actual work. The Buttered Toast is a popular choice here. I absolutely love mug life! Have been coming here for the past three years as it is my favourite breakfast spot in Pyrmont. The coffee is by far the best in the area and the food is always good, too. Compared to other coffee shops the prices are reasonable and you know what to expect. The staff is super lovely, polite and welcoming. Love to come here during the weekends.
