Customer’s Review:

Love coming here for the special exhibits. The permanent exhibits are quite good too- the best place to spend the day if you are bored, so much to see and there’s food here too which ain’t too badly priced. Clean, well maintained, air-conditioned, and spacious. Currently building a new section so I can’t wait to see it when it’s done!

The Rocks’ beautiful historic town is jam-packed with fantastic present ideas, ranging from jewelry to homewares to art books. It also has a tiny but well-defined selection of extremely limited edition prints that are generally linked to the current blockbuster exhibits. They’re generally on the more expensive side, but with a strong emphasis on scarcity if you do indulge, you’ll be one of only a few people in the world who own a piece from an amazing artist like Lindy Lee.

Key Differentiators:

  • Limited edition prints
  • Emphasis on scarcity
  • Linked to current blockbuster exhibits

Customer’s Review:

A good place to buy gifts in Sydney, it’s not overpriced and they have a good variety of souvenirs. They have promotions on t-shirts and the staff is friendly.

A favorite with students, their most popular game is film posters that are incredibly well designed. It’s not only students who appreciate browsing the must-hangs of art at Blue Dog. They wanted to establish a fun, innovative place that is also a meeting area above all else. I love the new Peach Black Gallery space. It’s bigger and better than ever. I’ve been to their life drawing classes a bunch of times and it’s always a great experience- chilled atmosphere, pro models and great people. Their online classes are cool too. All very reasonably priced. Matteo Bernasconi’s painting bring the space to life- definitely worth a visit if you’re in Chippendale.

We adore this apparel because it collaborates with various artists to sell limited edition prints that are available only while supplies last, and the proceeds go to charity in Australia and all over the world. The process is as follows: The artist suggests a charity such as LGBTQIA+ youth champions Minus18, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, or the Asylum Seekers Centre, with 10% of each sale paid to these organizations. Elk, the Archibald finalist from 2014 who goes by the moniker “Luke Cornish,” agreed to give all profits made from a print to Mahboba’s Promise, a Sydney-based charity devoted to assisting disadvantaged Afghan women and children.
