Great burgers. I usually order Burgers Anonymous’s chicken burgers but decided to try their cheeseburger (pictured). It came as a meal with a drink and fries. The burger patty was nice and thick, bun was soft and included lots of delicious cheese oozing out of the bun.

Great burger joint tucked away in the corner of north Sydney. The prices are reasonable and so too are the waiting times. The burgers are amazing there and I had a mouth-watering moment just looking at the menu. I got the Brooklyn burger and thought it was spectacular. The staff are also very helpful to provide their recommendations if you’re unsure of what to get.

One of the most iconic burger joints in Sydney CBD, and for a reason. The burgers are just so delicious! They have classics but also specials each week. I usually go for Mr Truffle, can’t go wrong with that! Onion rings are great as well. The good thing is that you can also enjoy great beers with your food here. Gets really busy though so you may need to queue for a bit.

Mary’s charm is enhanced by loud, vibrant music, strong drinks, dim lighting, and graffiti. It’s a boisterous chain that now operates in multiple locations throughout Sydney. The CBD’s Castlereagh Street stop is a tiny take-away shop. You’ll want to linger at any of the other Mary’s restaurants long after the benches have been cleared since you’ll be wanting to repeat your meal.

Key Differentiators:

  • Rustic bar with timber decor
  • Amazing atmospher
  • A mezzanine and a rock ‘n’ roll vibe

Customer’s Review:

This place is one of its own kind. Hard to locate as from the outside it looks like an abandoned house (video posted). But as you enter, the place turns into a nasty vibe. Full on a grungy look with graffiti on every inch of the place. Surprisingly the meat is halal. Had Mary’s Classic burger with Half Bird. The burger was delicious however fried chicken was okay as it was over-fried. All in all, a very good experience.

This Liverpool establishment creates a pleasant and relaxing ambience in which to enjoy one of Sydney’s greatest burgers. The goal of this local pub is straightforward: use locally sourced high-quality ingredients and prepare them freshly made to order. If you’re searching for In N Out alternatives, this would be the closest thing to it in Sydney.

Key Differentiators:

  • With a low-key ambience
  • Dishing up fast-food standards

Customer’s Review:

Came late with a large group and we were all very impressed with the food. The chips were nice, burgers were good but the coleslaw was average. The only let down would come down to the service of the Asian waitress who was a little hard to understand and when she placed food on to our tables, she would just toss/slide it on. Besides that, would come again for the other food and drinks.

The milk bar were proud to announce they had the best chips in Sydney as i walked in. The coating they put on it tasted sweet however it retained a lot of oil. I ordered the original milk bar burger overall it wasn’t too bad nor certain if they have the best chips I’ve eaten. The bright funky burger joint is decorated with graffiti and chalk menus. It seems to be a popular place to eat as I saw a lot of take away orders come through.

It’s all about hot chicken at this location. “If you know, you know” is how I’d describe it. It’s tucked away just north of Blacktown, but trust us when we say that once you’ve tasted the fried chicken here, you’ll be back again. There are only a few burger options on the menu, but they’re all fantastic in their own way. In the western suburbs, three fine dining-trained chefs came together to provide high-quality burgers. One bite into a burger from Burger Head and you know it’s something special because they minced their own beef and developed their own distinctive sauces. Dine in at Burger Head, pick up food to go, or keep track of the food van on social media. It opened its doors in Blacktown early in 2020.

Key Differentiators:

  • Matched by milkshakes & craft beer
  • Casual counter-serve spot
  • Excellent customer service

Customer’s Review:

Best burgers out west with delicious beef paddies, or fried chicken, they have your standard burger options and more fancy versions. Pictured with this review is a weekly special which involves truffle. The portion sizes of the chips are quite generous and there are a few different sauces you can purchase that will go with the fries.

Can’t wait to come back again and again, especially for the bottomless bbq! Super fun Tuesday night.

Great service and food was delicious. We had the little platter and everything on it was flavourful, not dry, and well seasoned. We also had an extra large fries and onion rings which were surprisingly light and that seasoning salt was perfect. My wife isn’t big on barbecue sauce but loved the one they had. Great experience and will be coming back.

Got takeaway from here during lockdown. Burgers are really excellent (got the OG with Coleslaw and cheese), however the tenders were a little peppery and the chicken wings were slightly disappointing (with the skin separating from the deep fried coating). The hot sauce is also only okay. Overall though, would definitely order again when needing a solid burger fix.

Smoky Sue’s is all about low and slow American-style BBQ, in the first place. The Maroubra restaurant takes barbecuing seriously, and one of their meat boxes with protein options like brisket, fried chicken, pork belly, or pulled pork and hearty sides like brisket beans and mac n’ cheese bombs is never a bad option. So, picture what magnificent things two expert hands can do with meats like that. Trust us when we say that the results are delicious beyond belief.

Probably one of my favourite burgers of the year. It was so juicy and full of flavour. I love their burger of the month creations!! Comes with fries too and is super affordable. Their share platter was OK, unfortunately, the brisket was a bit dry and the pork belly was too fatty but everything else was amazing.

For obvious reasons, we didn’t include any standard fast-food restaurants in this article. However, for the benefit of American behemoths and new kids on the block like Five Guys, we’re making an excusable exception. The super-hyped burger restaurant has established itself in Penrith, and so far, the reviews and videos have been sending our mouths into overdrive.

Key Differentiators:

  • Unlimited drinks
  • Signature hand-cut potato fries

Customer’s Review:

The burger is very delicious and fat, the fries are also very good. The drinks are unlimited and you can refill them inside which is great! The price might be a little bit high but it’s quite worth it. I hope they come up with a bundle or package in the future.
