The Tavern Restaurant was established in July 1994. The Tavern, a small, quiet Swiss Chalet-inspired corner shophouse at River Valley Road near the Mohamed Sultan Road junction, was founded by Mr Poh Say Eng, a well-known restaurant Maitre ‘d.

The restaurant seats 45 people. Thousands of wines are kept in the huge cellar, which is home to a diverse collection.

The chefs at The Corner House are creating genuinely Italian cuisine. Although the food is authentically Italian, the ambiance is significantly more laid-back than it is at Otto Ristorante. We enjoy relaxing our Sundays with a simple dinner of classic foods like calamari fritti, linguine vongole, and white and red pizzas. Make sure to inquire about the specials; there are often interesting new dishes as well as wine discounts.

One of our favorites for easy Italian meals imported artisanal Italian goods to stock our shelves at home, and very reasonably priced wine that starts at just $12++ a glass is this charming little bodega in River Valley. Try one of the homemade pasta dishes like ravioli with ricotta and spinach or lasagna, which are both delicious. Check out the specials board for seasonal specialties such as braised lamb shank with seared veggies or porcini pizza with black truffle paste.

Hello all-day breakfast and brunch; how we adore you, particularly when you’re made with fresh Australian and European produce. Little Farms began as a specialty shop that offered online ordering and delivery across the island, and they now have a lovely little cafe for in-house consumption. It’s not cheap compared to other cafés with avo toast, granola, and hearty big breakfasts, but everything is guaranteed to be fresh, organic, and ecologically sourced.
