Whether you want to enjoy a romantic evening out or spend time with friends and family, these restaurants are perfect for any occasion! Bon appétit!
Key Considerations Factors
- Location: When looking for a French restaurant, it is important to consider the location. Look for a restaurant that is conveniently located in a busy area or near popular tourist attractions so that visitors can easily access it. Also, the restaurant should be close to public transportation, like buses and trains, so that it is easy to get there.
- Menu Options: The best French restaurants in Singapore will have an extensive menu with both traditional French dishes and new takes on old favorites. Look for dishes like coq au vin and duck confit as well as creative options like foie gras carbonara or escargot ravioli.
- Atmosphere: A great atmosphere can make any dining experience more enjoyable. Look for a restaurant that has a warm and inviting ambience with comfortable seating and good lighting. The décor should also reflect the cuisine, with rustic French touches like vintage posters or chalkboard menus adding to the charm.
- Service: Good service is essential when dining at a French restaurant. The staff should be knowledgeable about the food they are serving and willing to help customers understand what they are ordering. Additionally, look out for restaurants that offer loyalty programs or other services geared towards their customers, such as daily specials or set menus at discounted prices.
- Price Range: Compare prices between different restaurants to find one that fits within your budget while still serving quality food at fair prices. It is also important to take into account taxes and delivery fees when calculating the total cost of your meal, so there are no unexpected expenses when you get your bill.

“I was pleasantly surprised at the fusion French meal I had at Gunther’s. The chef made us a special off the menu 5 course meal. It was white truffle season and their signature dish – cold truffled angel hair was topped generously with white truffle of the season. The outstanding dish of the night besides the truffled angel hair was the baked French onion tartin with black truffle. The meursault was also exceptional.”

“I’d been wanting to come here for quite a while, so I was happy when a friend suggested it for a group dinner. We started with a drink across the street at the cafe, then moved across to here when it was time for our booking. It was a long and leisurely evening. We started with a bottle of wine and some appetizers for the table before everyone moved on to their steak frites mains. Then we finished with a cheese platter and some desserts. The service was fine and unobtrusive. The food was first class. The charcuterie had a nice mix of meats and not just cold cuts.
The fries were good, not quite as good as those at Les Bouchons, but very good, and I’m tempted to say I prefer the meat here. The appetizers here are definitely better and the steak was more consistent and didn’t have any chewy bits. The cheese platter at the end was great and the desserts were all likewise delicious. The wine was nice and the menu extensive, though it does tend to lean on the pricier side. Overall, this was an excellent meal. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and will definitely go back.”

Customer Testimonial
“Homey and cosy feel, and legit, authentic French cuisine. Had the beef cheeks braised in red wine and the beef tartare for mains. Both wete wonderful in its own right. The beef cheeks were tender and the red wine jus complemented the juiciness of the meat. The beef tartare was flavourful and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth soft. It was seasoned nicely to deliver the freshness of the beef — and if you must have this dish, it is important to research well which restaurants can deliver since if it is prepared wrongly, you might end up with food poisoning (I was more than fine with Le Bistrot’s version).
We also ordered the duck rilette and the chicken liver pate for starters and they were served with bread and cornichons — not bad! The profiteroles for dessert were huge but I finished them as they were really nice. Servers were polite, attentive and knowledgeable of the dishes. Definitely recommended!”

“My first time having such authentic, classic crepes and it was a happy and fun experience. Crepes were fresh and crispy and perfectly made, ingredients used were fresh.
Great for lunch as it’s not too filling or heavy.
2 of us had a savoury galette each and shared a sweet crepe.
Went on a Friday lunch with no reservations and they were only left with outside seats.
Will definitely be back to fix my crepe cravings.”

“Can see why this place is so busy on a Friday night : restaurant was fully booked, service is impeccable, and everything was delicious. The hake fish was one of the most tender I’ve tasted and the hanger steak and linguine were cooked to perfection. They also have a shop on the second floor where you can buy some cakes, ice cream and cheese to enjoy at home!”

“Finally! A location and view might not make you think it is a great restaurant but it is. I am not qualified to comment the services and the setup, with a 3 Michelin stars, no need for comment. Want to highlight 2 dishes today, the blue lobster and duck breast. The blue lobster is so good, it worth every penny. It must be a male lobster and freshly prepared. The duck breast, medium cook, it is so juicy and gave me a new experience of this dish. Blood must be contained to keep the juiciness. Great services, very attentive and not oversell. The bread, appetizers, ice cream and chocolate are so good and it is worthy!”
