Toypanic.com was founded by Ethan Tang as an online store in 2010 from a small 50 sq ft store room. In 2013, Aaron Leow joined Toypanic as co-founder and they both proceeded to expand the business together. In 2014 the business was moved to an actual brick and mortar store in Level 5 of Prangin Mall.
As the business continued to grow, the size of the retail store and the store room space in Prangin Mall eventually became a limitation. This prompted the Toypanic team to move their operation to the 4th Floor of One-Stop Midlands Park Centre in 2018.
However, within a single year, another move was made within the same complex from the 4th floor to 1st floor for more strategic placement within the building and an even bigger retail outlet in 2019. Since the Covid-19 pandemic began to flare up in 2020, the retail outlet has been closed to walk-in customers until further notice, but the online store continues to operate at full speed bringing beloved toys and collectibles to collectors from all over Malaysia and even beyond.
